MOUZ Defeat Spirit to Win BLAST Bounty Season 2

MOUZ have started the new competitive season in the best possible way, defeating Team Spirit 3-1 in the Grand Final of BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals to lift the trophy in Malta.

The victory ends a 17-month trophy drought for MOUZ and gives the organization its first championship since PGL Cluj-Napoca.

It also comes in the team's very first tournament with new signing Oldřich "PR" Nový, making the result an immediate success for MOUZ's latest roster rebuild.

But while the trophy belongs to the whole team, Grand Final day belonged to one player in particular.

MOUZ Finally Break the Spirit Curse

Spirit entered the final with an imposing recent record against MOUZ, having beaten them seven consecutive times.

That streak is over.

MOUZ took immediate control of the best-of-five series, winning Dust2 and Mirage to establish a commanding 2-0 lead.

Spirit managed to respond on Ancient, keeping themselves alive and reducing the deficit to 2-1.

But there would be no reverse sweep.

MOUZ closed the series on Nuke to secure a 3-1 victory and their first trophy of the new season.

For a roster that had repeatedly gone deep at major tournaments without converting those opportunities into championships, finally getting over the line carries significant weight.

Spinx Produces a Monster Final

Spinx was the driving force behind the victory.

The Israeli rifler topped the scoreboard on every map of the Grand Final and finished the series with 78 kills and a 1.54 rating.

His opening two maps were particularly devastating.

Spinx recorded a 1.91 rating on Dust2 before following it with a 1.86 performance on Mirage, helping MOUZ build the 2-0 advantage that Spirit ultimately could not overcome.

Even after Spirit answered on Ancient, Spinx returned with another strong showing on Nuke to help finish the series.

His performance earned him something that had surprisingly escaped him throughout his career:

his first HLTV MVP medal.

Despite multiple appearances in HLTV's annual Top 20 rankings and years spent competing at the highest level with ENCE, Vitality and MOUZ, Spinx had never previously been named the MVP of a tournament.

That drought ended today.

PR's MOUZ Return Starts With a Trophy

The result is also an encouraging sign for MOUZ's rebuilt roster.

PR officially returned to the organization this summer after previously developing within MOUZ NXT before establishing himself at GamerLegion.

There were obvious questions about how quickly the young Czech rifler would adapt to the main lineup.

The answer, at least initially, appears extremely positive.

Winning a trophy in the roster's first tournament together gives MOUZ something every newly assembled lineup wants but few receive: immediate proof that the project can work.

A Statement at the Start of the Season

BLAST Bounty may be only the beginning of the second half of 2026, but MOUZ could hardly have asked for a better start.

They have ended their trophy drought.

They have finally beaten Spirit.

Their newest roster has won its debut tournament.

And one of their most experienced players has finally collected the MVP medal that had been missing from his career.

For MOUZ, August begins with a trophy.

The challenge now is proving that this wasn't just one great weekend.
