The International 2026 Update Brings Predictions, Fantasy and Supporter Bundles to Dota 2

The International season has officially arrived in Dota 2.

Valve has released its TI 2026 tournament update, opening Predictions, Fantasy play and team Supporter Bundles ahead of The International in Shanghai.

All 16 competing teams are now confirmed, and with the tournament only around two weeks away, players can begin participating in the annual in-game activities surrounding Dota's biggest championship.

Predictions Return for TI 2026

Players can once again attempt to predict how The International will unfold.

Predictions allow the community to make calls on teams, players and tournament outcomes before and during the event.

For casual viewers, it adds another reason to follow matches they might otherwise skip.

For dedicated Dota fans, it becomes the annual opportunity to prove that all those hours spent analyzing drafts and arguing about the professional meta were actually worth something.

The tournament hasn't begun yet, which means everybody still has a perfect prediction record.

Fantasy Dota Is Back

Fantasy competition also returns for TI 2026.

Players will be able to build lineups around professionals competing at The International and score points according to their real tournament performances.

Fantasy has traditionally given Dota viewers a different way of following the event.

Suddenly, a support player placing wards or an offlaner surviving a difficult game can matter almost as much as whether the viewer's favorite team wins the series.

With only 16 teams participating at TI this year, choosing the right players could become especially important once the strongest performers begin separating themselves from the field.

Support Your Favorite Team

Valve has also released Supporter Bundles for organizations participating at The International.

These bundles allow fans to directly represent their favorite teams through various pieces of in-game content while providing support to participating organizations and talent.

The feature has become an important part of modern TI season, particularly as Dota's esports economy continues to evolve away from the enormous Battle Pass-funded prize pools associated with earlier editions of The International.

New Rewards to Chase

The update also introduces tournament-related rewards.

Players have opportunities to earn new Immortal items and unlock terrain rewards through participation in the TI systems.

More details surrounding the physical event itself, including on-site activities and other tournament features, are still expected as Shanghai approaches.

Shanghai Is Next

Nearly a year has passed since Team Falcons lifted the Aegis at The International 2025 in Hamburg.

Now the championship is moving to Shanghai.

Sixteen teams have survived invitations and qualification to earn their places at TI 2026.

The professional competition begins soon.

But for the millions watching from home, The International has effectively started today.
