CS2 updates hit hard: Cache polish

Valve’s latest CS2 patch cycle is not just cosmetic - it directly changes how the game feels. Cache returned to official play in Casual, Competitive, Deathmatch and Retakes, then immediately started receiving heavy fixes: clipping and geometry polish, lighting changes around Vent, A-site visibility work, grenade/player clipping adjustments, surface sound fixes, blocked window angles and multiple hole fixes.

The bigger gameplay shift is reload economy. Since the March update, reloading a magazine-fed weapon now discards the remaining bullets in the old mag and takes a fresh full magazine from reserve. Translation: the old “shoot two bullets, instantly reload” habit can now punish your round, especially in long fights, retakes and late clutches.

Valve also pushed Animgraph 2 work, smoother crouch transitions, viewmodel fixes and a recoil-camera adjustment designed to feel closer to CS while keeping CS2 bullet trajectories intact. It feels like Valve is cleaning both sides at once: the maps and the mechanics.

Cache is back - but it is clearly still being tuned. The reload change is already live - and players who adapt faster will waste less ammo than the rest.
