Vitality Sweep NAVI to Win BLAST Open Rotterdam
Vitality have added another trophy to their Counter-Strike 2 campaign after defeating NAVI in the BLAST Open Rotterdam grand final.
The series ended in a clean 3-0 sweep, with Vitality closing the best-of-five final on Inferno, Anubis, and Dust2. NAVI had moments where they looked capable of extending the match, especially on the final two maps, but Vitality stayed composed in the key rounds and prevented the series from reaching Mirage or Nuke.
Vitality opened the final with a convincing 13-7 win on Inferno, setting the pace early and putting NAVI under pressure from the first map. Anubis was closer, but Vitality still managed to edge it out 13-10, giving themselves full control of the series.
Dust2 followed the same pattern. NAVI pushed back and kept the map competitive, but Vitality once again found the better late-round answers and closed the map 13-10 to secure the title.
The result continues Vitality’s strong run at the top level of CS2. Their ability to win in different ways - from dominant openings to tighter late-map situations - makes them look like one of the hardest teams to break in the current scene.
For NAVI, the final still showed signs of progress despite the scoreline. The last two maps were competitive, and there were individual moments that kept them in contention, but they were unable to convert enough pressure rounds to seriously threaten the comeback.
The final also added another major talking point around Vitality’s depth. While ZywOo remains one of the most dangerous players in the world, this trophy run was not carried by one name alone. ropz delivered a standout playoff performance and was later named MVP of the event, highlighting just how many win conditions Vitality currently have.
With the Rotterdam title secured, Vitality strengthen their position as one of the defining teams of the current CS2 season. NAVI leave with another deep playoff run, but the gap between reaching finals and beating Vitality remains the biggest challenge ahead.
